Brian K. Wood, P.E.

Freelance photographer specializing in tennis, baseball, horse racing and an array of action sports. My interest in photography grew as I traveled with my son to junior tennis tournaments. I have routinely photographed junior, college and adult athletes in leagues, clinics, matches, charity functions, country club tournaments and team events. That experience led to opportunities at the Lexington Pro Challenger Tournament and eventually to work at the Cincinnati Open in Mason, Ohio. I am currently on retainer with the USTA-KY to cover an array of tennis events each year. I have worked for FinisherPix to cover Ironman 70.3 and other similar endurance sporting events. I also have experience with other fast-paced sports such as pickleball, BMX, cross country, triathlon, track & field, and gymnastics.

In 2025, I was a credentialed photographer for the 151 running of the Kentucky Derby.

Starting in the 2026 season, I am credentialed through Major League Baseball (MLB) as an on-field photographer for select home games for the Cincinnati Reds.

Over the years, my interests have expanded beyond action sports and also include street photography, landscapes, portraits, family photos and astrophotography.
